OSRS Parenting
I grew up playing video games, I know just how much fun they are. They also taught me a lot about life: reflecting on my values, practicing grit, strategic thinking, problem solving, and creative skills. With the right balance video games can be not only entertaining, but useful, and - as a certified family life educator and mother of 3 young children - I take that balance very seriously.
My husband and I love Old School RuneScape, but that doesn’t mean that our children also have access to it whenever they want to. We can play together as a family on the weekends and they can guide us and our characters in a quest, or sometimes we can watch Gielinor Games and other appropriate RS videos… but then what?
When something is so much fun it is hard to stop. But the screen time limit is there for a reason. So, I had come up with RuneScape themed things to do for off-screen options, that can be just as fun! - but different.
From role playing adventures of “Dungeons and Dragons - Gielinor”, to coloring books and workbooks, I came up with quite a few ideas. And I’d like to share them with you on this blog.
While it is all free, I hope you’ll support my work by following my socials and sharing my page with others.
My goal is to start my Twitch channel where I can happily mix family life education / parent education with OSRS. See you there!
