Introduction
Welcome, let me introduce myself:
My name is Anna Olsen.
I spent my childhood and young adult years in Budapest and Nyíregyháza, but I feel I truly became a grown up in America. My husband and I have lived on the Big Island of Hawaii, Utah and Idaho in recent years, and that's when I met the specialty that really called me: family life education.
I graduated from the Brigham Young University in Idaho with a degree in Marriage and Family Studies.
From 2022 I am a member of the National Council on Family Relations, and from 2023 I officially hold the title of Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE-P) created by the NCFR.
This organization brings together and supports professionals who are dedicated to the healthy relationships and stability of individuals and families, focusing on 10 areas:
- families and individuals in the societal context
- internal dynamics of families
- personal growth and development
- human sexuality
- interpersonal relationships
- family resource management
- parent education and guidance
- family rights and family policy
- professional ethics and practices
- family life education methodology
Within these areas, we can support those who want to work with us with various levels of consultations, courses, and community and institutional work.
In Hungary, I am currently the only member of the NCFR, but regular individual and group consultations, sharing of research results and further training ensure that I am up-to-date and with personal+professional support behind my back, even in my current place of residence.
I believe that through self-knowledge and a deep connection with each other we can create happy families, and raise children who feel authentic - and in doing so, we also support the next generations.
That is why I created the page called Stages of Life, since the systematic approach that I represent is essential in terms of both individual and collective development and happiness, and I would like to share this with everyone, no matter what stage of life you are in.
Thank you for your trust.
Anna
